*TIMEKEEPERS? (2)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

John 1:46 *And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

While some people are committed as timekeepers, some are monitoring and scornful timekeepers.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

There are people who are sincere timekeepers. They can help you to plan your time. They can bring timeliness into your consciousness, and you will never regret you knew them, I Chron 9:23-33, 12:32.

There are, however, people who under the disguise of affectionately caring for you place you under the pressure of time.

They are evil timekeepers and are scorners who make people miserable by how they monitor you with time, not because they love you, but to make you see yourself as if you have passed time or time has left you behind.

They see you as either marking time or nothing good will ever be expected to come from you.

If nothing good happens to you according to their time expectations of life, according to age (especially), you are a non-achiever.

Are you a timekeeper with a question mark or a timekeeper without a question mark? Which are you?

Scornful timekeepers, by their comments, foreshadows your mockery by others.

Nathaniel had heard of Jesus and how lowly Nazareth was. He looked down upon Nazareth and cheekily asked *“Can anything good come out of Nazareth?”* (John 1:46).

Nazarenes would ultimately be despised by Herod, Matt 2:19-23, and the people, Isaiah 53:3.

Psalm 22:6–7 tells us that Christ was “scorned by everyone, despised by the people” as “they hurl insults, shaking their heads.

As much as scornful timekeepers monitor your time, even when they hear you have caught up with time or God has visited you in His time of fulfillment, they will not believe any good thing could come from you or out of you given your past.

For example, there are marriage timekeepers, miracle timekeepers, who ask you, it is high time, God gave you a husband/wife, or it is high time God gave you one miracle or the other.

While the children of Issachar perfectly fit the categories of sincere timekeepers, Sanballat and Tobiah perfectly fit into the categories of scornful timekeepers, Neh 2-6.

They plotted, used ridicule, threats, and discouragement wickedly waiting to see if the walls would ever be rebuilt, Neh 2:19.

The wall was finished successfully, in 52 days, Neh 6: 15-16.

Let no questionable timekeeper despise you. God has not forgotten you.

Your time is in God's hands!

*Remorse corner.*

There are questionable timekeepers, and there are sincere timekeepers. Which one are you?

*Call to Word action.*

Jesus appealed to the sense of Nathanael. Nathanael's expression changed to belief. He proclaimed saying *Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel”* (John 1:49).

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Are there timekeepers who despise you saying it is high time God showed up in your life? Just like Christ proved to Nathanael's sense to change his tone, God will turn your timekeepers to sincere timekeepers.

*Prayer.*

Lord, l am in Your hands. Please send me sincere timekeepers. Keep scornful timekeepers away from me, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
