*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*IT'S TIME TO REMEMBER GOD!*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Psalm 67:6 *Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
God meets needs regardless of people's action but people can lose needs when they disregard God.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
God teaches us love and kindness to everyone, even enemies, by mimicking His universal grace of indiscriminate love.
His unbiased care for mankind of the blessings of life (like rain for crops) affect both the righteous and the unrighteous, Mart 5:45.
Likewise His unbiased mother nature like (trials, storms, snow etc,) affect both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Isaiah tells us that God uses rain and snow as a blessing and as a manifestation of God's power through nature.
God further uses snow and storms
as great rain of his strength," and "whirlwind", Job 37:6-13.
He calls snow and hail, treasures in Job 38:22.
He calls fire, hail, snow, vapors, storms and winds to fulfill His word, Psalm 148:8.
What often appears as unpleasant weather comes from God to achieve a certain purpose to the righteous and the unrighteous.
While rain discomforts some, it is pleasant for some.
Everything from God has and meets a purpose, Job 37:6-13, Job 38:22, Psalm 148:8, Isaiah 55:10-11.
Rain represents blessings (Joel 2:23, Hosea 6:3, Zechariah 10:1, and James 5:7).
Snow represents, whiteness/holiness and the raw power of God, Job 37.
Storms/Wind signify divine visitation and power (Acts 2, Psalm 107:25).
By universal grace (common grace) people's needs are met without knowing God.
There is universal grace (common grace) shared by God to all and saving grace (universal, available to all but not accepted by all because of unbelief).
Saving grace leads to salvation/redemption.
Looking at God's gracious love we must wonder how often, if not always, people receive from Him and forget they received from Him?
People pay for their farmlands, manure, workers, utilities but do not pay for God's favour that is often linked to God’s blessing, divine provision, and agricultural abundance.
It is God's blessing that leads to tangible prosperity (grain, fruit, oil reserves, minerals resources like gold, diamonds, uranium) etc.
There are countries that are rich in oil, mineral resources but do not allow the gospel of Christ in their countries.
If they love God, they should accept all God wants.
People claim to know God but do not know what God stands for.
Land yields, harvest, prosperity are responses to divine favour.
There are grounds that do not yield increase.
There is the desert where nothing grows (Jer 17:6, Deut 29:23), and there are lands where things grow.
Times have recorded regions of barren lands which were not so before.
There are regions where lands are known to grow certain produce better than other regions yet in the same countries or in some cases different countries.
There are certain soils which are specifically good for some crops to grow and there are some that are not and all these types of soil are on this same earth!
It is time to know God more for the universal grace and saving grace we all enjoy as believers.
It is time to turn to know God for the universal grace those who do not know Him enjoy.
It is time to remember God, if you do not know Him.
It is time for every believer to know more about Him than we presently know.
Do you know God through Christ?
Do you remember Him?
*Remorse corner.*
Uncultivated hearts for God must spiritually cultivate their hearts by seeking the Lord to receive righteousness.
*Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.* Hosea 10:12.
*Call to Word action.*
Paul, a carrier of the Holy Ghost wrote about knowing Christ more than He knew Him.
Philippians 3:10 *That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Prioritize God early in life,
Eccl 12:1 *Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;*
*Prayer.*
Lord help me to remember You early in life before it is too late for me, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
Shalom.
