THE HOPELESSNESS OF THE GODLESS

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE HOPELESSNESS OF THE GODLESS....*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Esther 5:12-13 ---►🔹 *Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.*🔹

🔹 *Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.*🔹

*Insight and Highlight.*

Those who are self-adulators, self-admirers and self-flatterers are self-deceivers.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Haman was very desperate to see Mordecai's end.

Haman was celebrating victory over a plan that had failed even before it was hatched.

He celebrated triumph too early.

Job 20:5 ----►🔹 *That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?*🔹

What he saw as the end of Mordecai marked Mordecai's begining of greatness, the king delighted in him, Esther 6:11, 8:15

The end of Haman affirms that the destruction of wicked is not only short but certain and speedy.

Esther 7:9 ---►🔹 *But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.🔹*

🔹 *"....Then the king said, Hang him thereon.*🔹

🔹 *So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.*🔹

Truly it shall be well with the righteous but 🔹 *Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him*, ref Isaiah 3:10-11

Truly the hope of the godless is vain!

*Remorse corner.*

Anyone who does not know God, is poor though he may be rich. He is powerless though he may be powerful.

*Call Word action.*

The hope that the wicked has for the righteous shall perish.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Haman had hope but his hope was the hope of the ungodly. He ended up hopeless. He hoped Mordecai would remain at the gate but Mordecai ended up arrayed in the king's robe and rode on royal horses.

*Prayer.*

Psalm 36:11 ---►🔹 *Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.*🔹, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
