*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*LEARNING FROM TRIALS. (4)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Rom 8: 17 *And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

A Christian who faces countless challenges is an example of sonship.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Paul wrote saying that the Christians' suffering preceeds His glory.

John tells us of the anticipation of Jesus' glorification.

He wrote in John 7:39. *(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)*

In other words *".....Jesus was not yet glorified....."* because he had not died, not yet atoned for our sins and risen to ascend to His Father.

John teaches us here that Jesus's suffering preceeded His glorification. His glorification was a product of His suffering.

This teaches us that though many may not accept or believe but it is true that the presence of challenges, trials etc are evidence that you are a child of God.

Nowhere is it said, spoken or recorded that a life free of sufferings, challenges and trials are proof of a child of God.

The more glory you have the more attacks you will receive from Satan and his agents because he wants to steal, kill and destroy it, John 10:10.

If it were not so Paul would not admonish us on the structure of principalities and powers, how wicked they are and the weapons of warfare we need to destroy them, Eph 6:12-17.

If there were no devil and his agents to fight there would be no need to guard ourselves and *Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.* nor take unto ourselves *"......the whole armour of God, that........"* that we *"..... may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand"* Eph 6:11,13.

We are strengthened by trials and challenges.

We pray more when we are in the midst of the enemy or facing attacks from them.

There is tendency of the children of men to not pray when things are going well for them, ref Deut 8:1-18.

David recalls how he cried unto the Lord in his distress in Psalms 18:6, 120:1.

He fell into sin when he was not fighting any war or had traces of war around him, 2 Sam 11:1.

Job learned the importance of a revelation from God rather than what he heared about God.

He writes in Job 42:5 *I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.*

*Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.*

He learned that nothing comforts a sufferer more than a revelation of God to him in the midst of his suffering.

We can be comforted by people, encouraged by them but praying that God would reveal Himself in the midst of our challenges is one of the most comforting moments any challenged Christian could hope for.

Until Job learned the importance of revelation and the divine role God was playing all along, he would have continued to argue with God as to why, what and how he was marked for such tragedies of life.

There is always something to learn as a child of God.

Whatever God allows to happen in your life is God's way of teaching you something.

*Remorse corner.*

Before you blame God, look inwards to see if the challenges are self-made or not. At the same time know that not all problems are self-made. Some, like in Job's case, have a divine role behind them.

*Call to Word action.*

Before you blame God ask Him what He wants you to see or learn about what you are going through. Ask for a revelation!

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Do not allow your trials to cloud your vision of God's revelation to you in your times of trouble.

*Prayer.*

Lord, please do not allow my challenges to blind me from seeing Your revelation in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and be blessed as you come into His presence.

God bless you.

Shalom.
