*Scripture Commentaries.*

When we pray, the bible teaches us that only God has the answers to our prayers. Why?

This is because we pray in the name of Jesus (John 14:13-14), and we pray according to His perfect will, 1 John 5:14-15, Jam 4:3-9.

We know that not all prayers are answered by God. The only prayers of sinners that He answers are the sinners' prayer of repentance and forgiveness, Ps 51, Luke 18:13-14, 1 John 1:9. Other than this, there is no sacrifice or prayers of sinners that He answers, John 9:31, Ps 66:18, Prov 15:8, 28:9.

So if you are in sin, and you pray other than the prayer of sinners, you can be sure that you have not prayed a prayer that is a prayer according to God's definition of prayer.

You must ask yourself, how can l pray to a God whom l do not honor or accept His Son as Lord and Savior?

God's definition of prayer is supplication and petition to Him, Phil 4:6-7. He admonished us to pray in 2 Chron 7:14. He urges us to pray in Matt 26: 40-41, 1 Thess 5:17. He teaches us to pray in Luke 11:1-4.

When you are praying or you appear to be praying, make sure you are praying to God and not speaking to the devil.

Some claim to pray to God, yet they are sinners unwilling to repent. They pray as if they are not entrenched in sin.

They say there is no sin in them.

When you appear before God as if there is no sin in you, John says you are deceiving yourself.

Such are the people who pray as if there is no sin them.

1 John 1:8 *If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.*

Sinners do not call upon Him in truth because there are unrepentant sins in their hearts, yet they want to receive from God. Is it God who answers or Satan?

If you know it is God who answers, be faithful with Him.

Are you praying to God or speaking to Satan?

Do not mock God!

He can not deny Himself.

Are you praying or playing?

*Remorse corner.*

If you are a sinner who fails to confess and repent his/her sin, you are not praying to God. You are playing games with God.

*Call to Word action*

James 4:8 *Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Jam 4:10 *Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me with the sinner's prayer. Forgive me so that when l pray, You will hear me, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
