*WISDOM FOR TODAY*

*GOD SEES YOU! (4).*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Psalm 139: 7  *Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?*

*Insight and Highlight.*

If God can see everything, He is everywhere.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

We have to believe that if God can see everything, He is everywhere. This is His omnipresence.

It is not a matter of 'if', it is a perfect truth and certainty that He is everywhere (omnipresent), even in hell and knows all things (omniscient), even what happens in hell.

Psalm 139:8 teaches us that God is as present in the afterlife as He is in this life.

The psalmist tells us *If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.*

Though those who are in hell are separated from God, they shall be *"......punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;...."* 2 Thess 1:9, and every eternal punishment in hell is under His supervision.

Hell and the destruction of those in it will be in His presence.

Rev 14:10 says that people who worship the Antichrist will *"......be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb"*

Those in Heaven will see the face of God, Rev 22:4 says *And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.*

This means those who are in hell will not see His face. He will turn His face away from them.

God will be present in hell but not present as His dwelling place. His dwelling place is in Heaven, Rev 21:1-3.

He will forever know what is happening at whereever He created, but He will, however, not be in a relationship with those who are there. He will be relationally distant from them.

God is present in darkness

Psalm 139:11-12:

*If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.*

*Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.*

God is ever present before consumation, after, and when a baby is conceived from the embryo to fetus and further, ref Jer 1:5.

Psalm 139:15-16 tells us further. He writes; *My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.*

*Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.*

Job 10:10-12 says *Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese?*

*Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.*

*Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.*

He is present with those who are in prison, Acts 12:15-17 tells us about His divine intervention with Peter while he was in prison.

He was present with Paul and Silas in Acts 16:16-40.

He implied His presence in prison in His parabolic statement about those who visited Him while He was in prison. Though He was not the imprisoned but He implied that those who cared for those in prison cared for Him, Matt 25:36.

Nothing is hidden from God.

No one can hide from Him.

*Remorse corner.*

No matter where we go, God is there.

*Call to Word action.*

God's reluctance to save from calamity is not His absence. He saves those He wants to save. He is not a prisoner of His omnipotence and omniscience. He saves those He will save, Rom 9:15.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

God is ahead of all things.

*Prayer.*

Lord, please favour me with Your omnipotence and omniscience in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

Shalom.
