2 Tim 2:19 *Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

You can not be on the Lord's side without God knowing you.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Though God created all, especially humans, and He knows all that He created, there are those He does not know relationally.

He knows all His creations. He knows they are created by Him but there are some whom He does not know because they do not have a relationship with Him.

'Knowing' here is a relationship not 'knowing' as a form of knowledge.

While not everyone God created knows God in obedience as Lord and personal Saviour those He knows are known by their godly lives.

The distinction between those whom God knows and those He does not know, is the departure of the former from sin.

John says *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him, and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.*, 1 John 3:9.

Paul says they have a *".....seal...."*, John says they have Christ's *"......seed...."*

They are built on the foundation of Christ.

The foundation that *".....standeth sure....."*

means they are unshakable *"......stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.*" regardless of the storms, 1 Cor 15:58.

There are those who will say they performed miracles in the name of Jesus but they failed to understand that doing such does not necessarily mean identifying with Christ. Jesus said He never knew them, Matt 7:22-23.

Uniformity is not unity.

False prophets claim to be uniformed and harmoniously connected with Christ's purpose but they have their individual differences and beliefs separate and distinct from Christ. They are not one with Christ.

Some people who claim to be on the Lord's side can be sure that God will quickly disclaim them faster than they falsely claimed to be on His side.

Isaiah identified some people who are quick to lipservice God. They sing to Him but Isaiah Isaiah 29:13 *Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:*

This is also quoted by Jesus in Matt 15:8 and Mk 7:6.

God, regularly prunes and monitors those who are on His side.

Are you on the Lord's side?

You may deceive people you are on the Lord's side but you can not deceive God.

Gal 6:7 *Be not deceived; God is not mocked:......."*

Those who are on the Lord's side knows themselves and so does God.

Lord, let me not depart from You in Jesus name.
