*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*GOD (4)*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Matthew 28:19: *"baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit".*
*Insight and Highlight.*
The Father (God) gave, the Son is given and the Holy Spirit seals.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Through the Holy Spirit, those who are saved unto God through Jesus Christ
*".....were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.* Eph 1:13-14.
Through the Holy Spirit, God has
*".....sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts."*
We become God's possession.
Each is distinct in their dispensation but is
co-equal and co-eternal in relationship as one. All three in one divine nature and essence.
The bible teaches us that all three is God.
The Father is God.
John 6:27 says God is the Father.
*".....for him hath God the Father....*
Rom 1:7 says *Grace to you and peace from God our Father,....."*
The Son is God, John 1:1, 14.
Col 2:9 says *For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.*
Heb 1:8 says *"But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.*
The Holy Spirit is God. Peter told Ananias that lying to the Holy Ghost was lying to God, Acts 5:3-4.
In Matt 28:19 Jesus commanded we go and teach all nations *"....baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost"*
The singular "name" implies unity.
Jesus used 'name' (not names) underscoring the oneness of all three in one.
This tells us that whether we say God, Jesus or Holy Spirit, each name is as powerful for one just as is powerful for either and powerful for all three.
We baptize in this name and share the grace in communion and fellowship in the name.
2 Corinthians 13:14: "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all".
Man is triune with: body, soul and spirit. Paul says 1 Thess 5:23 *And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.*
At death, however, they are separated to reunite at resurrection though with a new body, 1 Cor 15:53-58.
The Trinity remains one, indivisible and never separable.
Do you have God, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit?
*Remorse corner.*
The Father (God) begets, the Son is begotten and the Holy Spirit sealed in all believers the ownership of God.
*Call to Word action.*
The seal of the future inheritance, seal of approval, seal of God's ownership of the believer. Eph 1:13-14, 2 Cor 1:22.
*The Christian clarion duty.*
The Spirit authenticate the believers who come to God through Jesus Christ and seals them as the complete work of redemption.
*Prayer.*
Lord, as the Trinity is one, please let me be one with You in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
Shalom.
