*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*GOD.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Deut 6:4: *Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:*

*Insight and Highlight.*

God is one and indivisible.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God manifests Himself in three ways: God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Each with the others is God and none is God without the others.

Looking at the ministry of and mission of each, though have different dispensation, each manifestation is not different from God.

In this series we will look at each.

Gen 1:1 introduces God. He *"....created the heaven and the earth."*

From the beginning the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit have preeminence as one and indivisible.

Gen 1:26 illustrates their coexistence

at the same time and divine essence

*And God said, Let us make man in our image,.....*

At the scene of human rebellion to build the Tower of Babel, God said in Gen 11:6 says *"......let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.*

Paul tells us the preexistence of Christ in God. In Col 1:15-18, he writes

*Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:*

*For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:*

*And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.*

*And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.*

John says in John 1:1-3

*In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.*

*The same was in the beginning with God.*

*All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.*

Jesus tells us of His preexistence in God.

He said to the Pharisees declaring His eternal existence and divine nature, linking Himself to God's name revealed to Moses in Exodus 3:14, and signifying He is greater than the patriarch Abraham.

In John 8:58, *Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.*

God was not without Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the Son and the Spirit were not without the Father.

Gen 1:2 says *"......And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.*

You can not have God without having Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Any faith that professes God without Jesus and the Spirit is not built on God.

1 John 4:2-3  *Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:*

*And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.*

Does anyone tell you He knows God?

Ask if He knows and believes in the Son and the Spirit. If he/she believes then he/she is a child of the Father.

If not, he/she is not.

Rom 8:9 *But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.*

God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are indivisible

*Remorse corner.*

The oneness of God in Christ and the Spirit.

*Call to Word action.*

When Jesus told the Pharisees that *"Before Abraham was, l am"*, He was telling them that as He was then He still is and shall be even after his critics are no more. He is forever.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

The past and the future are in the present with God, Heb 13:8 *Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, as the Trinity is one, please let me be one with You in Jesus name.

Good morning all and be blessed as you go today.

God bless you.

Shalom.
