*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*JESUS (16).*

*Scripture Treasure.*

John 1:10-11

*He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.*

*He came unto his own, and his own received him not.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

The creator was not recognized nor acknowledged by His creation.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God, the creator, whom no one has ever seen was not recognized by the people He created how much more when He was in Jesus who became flesh and lived physically in the world, whom they could see was not acknowledged by the people He was sent.

The world was in darkness (and still is) so God brought Jesus (the Light) before whom He brought John the Baptist to *"..... to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe."* John 1:7.

Jesus *".....the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world."* John 1:9

People who were in darkness could not see Jesus, the Light, and till today are still not able to see the Light.

John 1:5 says *And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.* but humanity's deep-seated spiritual blindness, led to the rejection of Jesus, the very source of light and life, despite His intimate and physical presence among His people.

Before, during and after Jesus came in the flesh darkness has militated strongly against light.

1 John 5:19 *And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.*

The resistance against the light is found in darkness (sin). People love evil more than good.

Prov 4:19 says *The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.*

Job 5:14 says *They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night*.

Evil plans and actions are done in secret. This teaches us that evil is conceived in the darkness of the heart where no one can know except the wicked alone, (ref Jer 17:9)

Jesus says the wicked in their darkness are under condemnation.

Jesus says in John 3:19 says *And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.*

Jesus came as the Light to put an end to darkness. This is God's perfect will.

Jesus says in John 12:46 *I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.*

The human natural tendency is to love darkness. God's divine will is to send light to destroy darkness.

You will grope in darkness if you do not turn on the light.

Paul explains why those who are darkness are still in it.

He writes in Ephesians 4:18-24:

Paul says they are in darkness because their understanding is *"......darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:*

*Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.*

*But ye have not so learned Christ;*

*If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:*

*That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;*

*And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;*

*And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.*

Jesus is the Light: the solution to human darkness.

*Remorse corner.*

Light is the solution to darkness.

*Call to Word action.*

Matt 4:16 *The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

The Creator is unknown and rejected by His own creation, especially His own people, because they refuse, fail to recognize the light.

*Prayer.*

Lord help me to dwell in the Light.

For as long as l live, please do not let me know darkness and never let darkness prevail over me in Jesus name.

Good morning and be blessed as you go today.

God bless you.

Shalom.
