Paul discusses his struggles with the flesh. He said in Rom 7: 18 *For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.*
Paul said sin dwelt in him, and evil is present with him, Rom 7: 20-21.
The power of flesh was clearly written in v23 which says *But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.*
Paul fought the flesh successfully.
In 2 Cor 12: 7-10, his struggle with the thorn in his flesh, *".....the messenger of Satan..."* which troubled him but which God gave him His grace was not the work of the sinful flesh on him.
He was a man of the Spirit. Inspired by the Spirit and one of God's most faithful apostles and interpreters of the Law and the Spirit.
He says in Rom 7:22 *For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:*
He finished well, 2 Tim 4:7.
Do you want to finish well?
You can finish well, but you can not finish well in the Spirit if you do not daily mortify the deeds of the sinful flesh.
Rom 8:13 says, *"For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.*
Make sure you are born of the Spirit and you walk in Him.

You must admit your weakness in the flesh before strength to overcome is released to you.

Rom 7:24-25 *O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?*
*I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
If you must finish well, you must conquer flesh and blood.
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me to conquer flesh. Let me finish well in Jesus name.
