DREAMS (3)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*DREAMS (3)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

*_Genesis 40:8_* *And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

God gives concealed dreams because He knows there is an interpretation for them.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

We are still looking at dreams as divine revelation.

Yesterday, we saw that though a dream can be received by divine revelation, a person may lack the interpretation of it.

We saw that not everyone who dreams knows the interpretation because God often gives dreams that are concealed.

Today, we will continue to look at how important searching for the interpretation of dreams is.

Joseph and Daniel' lives further teach us the importance of interpretation of dreams.

First, they teach us that not only does true interpretation come from God, we must persevere until we receive them from Him.

Daniel received interpretation in a night vision.

*_Dan 2: 19_* says *Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.*

Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar, *"....there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;* *_Dan 2: 28_*.

The way and time God revealed to Daniel tells us that we must pray until our joy is full, John 16:24.

We must pray in and out of season, time of the day , 2 Tim 4:2.

Second, we must break all barriers standing between us and receiving true interpretation.

Ego must give way. Hierarchy, position, and status must give way.

Pharaoh, the King, sought imprisoned Joseph, a Hebrew, and he must have been grateful to God he did so.

It is also good that a counsel or interpreter is humble. Joseph humbled himself and gave respect to Pharaoh, and he gave glory to God as the source of dreams and its interpretation.

Joseph said to Pharaoh in Gen 41:8 *And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.*

Third, God can work through anybody to achieve glory to Himself. Even the heathen queen of the King recognized where true interpretation was.

The queen of King Belshazzar, when the king was troubled about the handwriting on the wall, recognized and advised him to call on Daniel whom she said was a man in Belshazzar's *"....kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods;...*

This spirit to the heathen queen was a spirit of the holy god but was in actual fact and truth *".....an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams,...."* given to Daniel by God, Dan 1, 2:11-12, 1.

Daniel warned him not to be like his father, Nebuchadnezzar. Belshazzar was eventually slained, Dan 5:30.

When you dream, there is something God is communicating to you.

Search to know God's mind.

*Remorse corner.*

Interpretation of dreams is just as important as the dream itself.

*Call to Word action.*

No dream comes without a meaning or an interpretation.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

As wise or foolish as dreams may appear, no dream comes without a meaning.

There must be something God is communicating.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to patiently seek you for the interpretation of my unclear dreams, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
