*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*COMING TO THE HOUSE OF GOD (3)*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Ps 34:8 *O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Discover for yourself that the Lord is good.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
The psalmist teaches us that discovering who God is can only be determined by experiencing Him.
Those who were glad when they said they should come into the house of God will not only be glad. They can also be glad for the sake of others' gladness that they would wish others to go and taste God themselves.
The proof of quality, value and truth of something can only be determined by having a taste of it.
There is nothing so good than having a personal encounter with God.
When Job transitioned from knowing God through what people told him to having a direct, personal experience of His presence, he said to God *I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee."* Job 42:5.
Prophecies, prophetic declarations, dreams, revelations, words of comfort, encouragement, testimonies, sermons etc are great but a direct contact with God is most revealing to anyone.
When you come into the house of God, you will personally experience and verify God's goodness yourself.
People often share their encounters in great revivals but the psalmist is saying that your experience may be more if you were there yourself.
No one can tell you how delicious a delicacy is until you taste it yourself.
Tasting God yourself is experiencing God first hand.
One of the greatest benefits of tasting that the Lord is good is that you will be motivated to bring in more people to come with you in to the house of the Lord.
Taste defines sweetness, quality or actually good something is.
Results give testimonies a definition.
May you not lose the taste of the goodness of the Lord in Jesus name.
*Remorse corner.*
Experience is key: The only way to know if something works is to try it. Taste God today and you will see that He is good.
*Call to Word action.*
Top your gladdeness to come into the house of the Lord by tasting Him yourself.
*The Christian clarion duty.*
When you have tasted that the Lord is good, do not keep it to yourself!
Invite others to taste too.
*Prayer.*
Help me to continually taste the goodness of the Lord all the days of my life in Jesus name.
Good morning and be blessed as you go today.
God bless you.
Shalom.
