*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*COMING TO THE HOUSE OF GOD.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Psalm 122:1 *I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Are you glad to go into the house of the Lord?

*Scripture Commentaries.*

David shared his experience when he was invited to join the fellowship of God's people.

It may not be his first time since we know him as a lover of God but it can indicate a joy and longing of a person who has a heartfelt desire to worship with others, and a delight in being invited to join the gathering of others.

David's writing teaches us two things.

First is those who found their home in God.

Second is where those who already have a home in God and hope to seek for those who do not yet have a home in Christ.

We will look at the first today

They were lost but found a new home in God.

He shares that gladness and a willing heart preceed and establish placement.

His new home: the house of God, became his heart.

He became one whose heart is where their home is. His new home: the house of God, is where their heart is

He further made a resolution saying *"Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.* Ps 122:2.

He entered never to depart ever.

David teaches us the power of invitation and that we who are in God's fellowship today are products of invitations.

He teaches that we are in the house of the Lord today because we were glad when we were told as we honoured the invitation.

One of David's strengths is his ability to see his invitation to come to the house of the Lord as a privilege, not a burden to come and to gather with others for worship.

He humbled himself and was happy

that others thought enough of him to invite him, and that he had the opportunity and disposition to go, seeing it as a blessing.

You can not fellowship alone.

Fellowshipping remotely can not be compared with shared experience through in-person fellowship.

You desire fellowship with others when you go with them *" into the house of the Lord.*

Heb 10:25 *Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.*

Desire fellowship!

*Remorse corner.*

Many with the attitude of gladness like David had expressed a desire that would keep them before God permanently..

*Call to Word action.*

They would not go back. They desired and purposed to remain there in the house of God.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

You can find joy when you share the experience of salvation with others.

*Prayer.*

Lord help me not and never forsake the gathering and fellowship with other brethren, in Jesus name.

Good morning and be blessed as you go today.

God bless you.

Shalom.
