*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*THE ELEVEN STARS (9).*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Gen 45:2 *And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
The weakness of love is greater than the power of evil.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Joseph did not only connect with his suffering, he was deeply connected with his brothers emotionally.
It remains true that he could not have connected to the sufferings caused by his brothers if he did not have a deep emotional connection to them.
Joseph was weakened by love rather than the human desire for revenge.
All he could do was to weep rather than throw the wedge of revenge.
Love will not provoke you to revenge. Its power will weaken you to rather go for reconciliation than revenge.
The tears of an offended person gives life to him and spares the offender judgment.
It is a sign of the fruit of the Spirit, Gal 5:22-23.
Meekness is not weakness but great strength!
The sin of the brothers, destined for greatness, was more shocking than the wickedness of the those who are outside God's purposes.
Those who are outside God's will should not disappoint us when they do evil but those whom God has in His plans will shock us when they sin.
The evil we do as children of God, we claim to be, is often worse than the wickedness of the people in the world.
Future stars whom God purposed to be a source of light and progenitors to the chosen people of God suddenly became sources of darkness to the future shinning light of Joseph.
Stars do not obstruct stars nor light obstruct light. The power of light may vary.
The power of a fluorescent may not be as powerful as that of a halogen but where the two are together, absence of one is still better than having none.
The presence of Joseph was prominent when the other eleven stars were yet to shine. His shining light was still good when those of the eleven were yet to shine. His only star was just good enough to give light to the eleven to eventually shine.
The presence of Joseph kept darkness out.
Eventually one shining light was good enough to prevent darkness from putting out eleven stars!
*Remorse corner.*
Love makes the powerful vulnerable to betray emotions.
*Call to Word action.*
Joseph wept a total seven key times, including upon seeing Benjamin, revealing his identity, and reuniting with his father. Gen 42-50.
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Relationship thrive in love. The brothers feared retaliation. Joseph wept again, reassuring them of his forgiveness and declaring that God turned their evil actions into good (Gen 50:20).
*Prayer.*
Lord, please let me be a light that shines in this dark world, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and be blessed as you go today.
God bless you.
Shalom.
