*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*SIN IS SEEN.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Gen 35:22 *And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine: and Israel heard it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Sin in darkness is seen and is sin

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Whether or not your sin is seen or uncovered, it is sin.

Most people whose sins have not been uncovered live as if they did not sin.

Most people think sin that is exposed is sin but sin that has not be exposed is not sin.

Some believe that only those who have been exposed are sinners while those who secretly sin are saints, holy and pious.

People may not see the sin in darkness but it is seen as sin before God who sees everything!

Reuben committed the sin of sleeping with his father's concubine, Bilhah: a handmaid to Rachel.

It was clear someone saw him because the bible tells us that Jacob heard.

Reuben thought no one saw him but someone saw and told Jacob.

Jesus says in Lk 8:17 says *For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.*

The sin of creeping into his father's tent was pre-planned and was intended to be done without anyone's knowledge.

In describing the workers of darkness, Jesus tells us that darkness (as in no light) is a major indicator of the works and workers of darkness

Jesus says John 3:19 *And this is the condemnation: that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.*

Paul tells us that they work in darkness.

Paul says *".....we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.* Eph 6:12.

On the other hand the bible further teaches us that any works of evil is darkness and/or likened to darkness

Solomon.tells us that the ways of evil doers are as 'is darkness' or are like darkness. Prov 4:19 *The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.*

Therefore, darkness does not literally mean darkness as of no light but also darkness that is real darkness and/or anything done in secret or when nobody knows is termed as darkness in the spiritual.

Whether it was daylight or night time, the sin of the wicked qualifies for the 'works of darkness'.

The sin was a sin meant to be a 'dark secret' or done secretly thus making it a sin of darkness.

Reuben paid the price of his sin punishable by a mandatory death penalty under Moses' law, Lev 18:8, 20:11). His father, Jacob cursed him Gen 49:3 and he lost his birthright, 1 Chron 5:1-2).

Are you sinning secretly?

If you are sinning secretly, you are sinning in the dark and you are a child of darkness.

Do you think nobody sees you?

Your sin is seen.

God sees you!

Repent today.

Sin in darkness is always seen and always sin.

*Remorse corner.*

Rueben, hid from people and slept with his father's concubine but he forgot that God sees all things!

Ps 94:9 *He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?*

*Call to Word action.*

You may hide from people but you can not hide from your sin. It will find you out.

Nub 32:23 *But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.*

*The Christian clarion.*

All hidden, covered-up, or whispered actions and words will eventually be exposed in the light, either during life or at judgment, Lk 8:17, and Matt 10:26.

*Prayer.*

Lord deliver me *".......from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.* (Psa 19:13), in Jesus name.

Good morning all and a happy New Month of February: Our month of *DIVINE PURIFICATION* Be blessed as you come into His presence today.

God bless you.

Shalom.
