GOD'S VISION: DESIRE IT

Updated: Jan 21

Acts 10: 13-16 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

Insight and Highlight

God's vision is to be desired by us not designed by us.

Scripture Commentaries

All callings are high calling. We must not see our callings or God's vision for us as any lesser than any other's.

The problem many of us have is that we compare ourselves with others.

We design God's vision for our lives rather than desire it. We always feel we have something better than what God has for us.

Instead of Peter to desire God's vision to him, he felt he had a better design for it. He was asked "....to kill and eat..." but he refused following his own heart, his own design.

We must all know God's vision for us is to be desired by us not designed by us.

If you continue to see your calling as any lesser than others', or you are complaining, you are missing it.

Though one star differs from another, each of them has a glory:

1 Cor 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

Rise up today and do what is assigned to you with joy. He has given you that calling because He knows you are best suited for it.

Remorse corner

You have all it takes to obey that calling. 1 Cor 4:7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

Call to Word action

You are equipped to obey, do and follow the calling. Matthew 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

The Christian clarion duty

What God called you to do, whatever you are asked to do and whatever your hands find to do are ways of God's calling for you as a vessel, to fulfill His vision.

Prayer

Lord help me to fulfill Your vision as a vessel in whatever You have called me to do, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
