SIN IN THE EYES OF GOD

Updated: Mar 19, 2022

Habakkuk 1:13 (NIV) Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing....."

Insight and Highlight Psalm 94:9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? Scripture Commentaries It is not much about how we see things, it is more about how God sees them. David committed adultery and in a move to cover his sins he arranged for the execution of Uriah, the rightful husband, an innocent officer of Israel's national army.

David tells Joab, the person directly responsible for Uriah’s death, "Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another:...." 2 Sam 11:25.

However, Someone else sees something different. The bible records in 2 Samuel 11:27 what David saw, admonishing Joab saying " Let not this thing displease the..." actually displeased God. 2 Sam 11:27 says "But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord." When evil seems right in the eyes of the wicked, it is evil, wrongdoing, and sin in the eyes of God.

Many justify themselves in their sins. They even with much persuasion, though speaking of God's unending love, deceive people saying, God's grace still abounds in willful sin. Be careful, if you are in sin.

Just because all things are still going on well now, does not mean God is happy with you. He is giving you time to amend your ways. Amend your ways, today. God judges sin! Remorse corner No matter how you justify yourself or cover your sins or how people may join hands with you, applauding you, it cannot change how God rightly feels about your sin. Call to Word action No one sin is greater than the other, 1 John 5:17. However, there are some that God gets His teeth into. Paul said that if "..any man defile the temple of God, he shall God destroy (1 Cor. 3:17). The Christian clarion duty Nothing changes how God feels about sin. Only a broken and contrite heart can mitigate or blot out sin from the eyes of God. Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Prayer Lord, let me not justify myself in my sins but confess and repent to receive Your forgiveness, in Jesus name. Good morning all and have a blessed day today. God bless you.
