Daniel 5:13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?
Insight and Highlight
Daniel 1:21 And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.
Daniel was so disciplined and distinguished that he served and survived in the courts of four kings and each one-handed him down as a legacy for succeeding kings to follow., ref Dan 1:21.
A new king, whom his father had told him about Daniel, said in Daniel 5:13 ".....Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?
It is admissible that Daniel held the position of the king's consult and confidant in the days of four kings, namely: Cyrus, Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, and Darius, four in all.
He not only was a great blessing in the courts of these kings, but he also did not cease being a man beloved of God.
He was a man proven to the end of his life, he did not fail God.
How long we remain in spite of the passage of times' trials and challenges will determine our level of patience, steadfastness, perseverance in the Lord.
Disciplining ourselves in order to be distinguished is key, among many other things
On each of the reigns of the kings, Daniel went through very tough persecution, deprivation, even life-threatening ordeals, yet he remained distinguished.
Call to Word action
At the close end of his life and his writings, the scripture says:
Daniel 10:11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
The Christian clarion duty
How much will you be willing to take in for God? Remain steadfast, disciplined and distinguished.
Lord, help me to remain disciplined and distinguished to the very end, in Jesus name.
