Scripture Commentaries
You will never find a person distinguished in pursuit of God who is not disciplined. As Daniel was, so also was Esther (Esther 4:16).
The Apostle Paul says in 1 Cor 9:27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should...." (NIV)
In the world of today, it may also be said: will you not find a person in pursuit of a career who will not comport or discipline him/herself.
To attain a given resolution, goal, vision, it starts with discipline. Cream of industries, banking, science, technology value this so as to attain a distinguished and accomplished end.
To remain on top of the industry, discipline, among many other factors, are paramount in the hearts of top notchers.
As Daniel purposed in his heart to do what was purposeful so also there are people who purpose in their hearts to do what is not purposeful.
Discipline that distinguishes is the epitome of anyone who values good success.
It works for your good more than or before, it works for the good of others.
Do you want more of God or God of more?
