You may be carrying generational curses if you refuse to turn away from generational disobedience to God.
Scripture Commentaries
You may carry past generational curses if you still continue in the sins of your fathers (in other words: sins of past generations).
God told Ahab he would spare him but if his children continue in his sins, he will revisit Ahab's sins on them, I Kgs 21:29.
Jesus told the people of His days saying they are of their father the devil and what the devil did, they will do. In other words, the judgment of their father, the devil, will be their portion:
John 8: 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning...."
Jesus says there is eternal fire reserved for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41.
God does not want anyone to suffer the sins of their father.
Ezk 18: 20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father..."
God gave the Prophet Jeremiah a word saying the children shall not suffer because of the sins of their fathers.
God told him in Jer 31:29-34 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.
Jesus answered the question of a boy born blind saying the blindness was not a result of the parent's sin, John 9:3.
People bury their sins and run their lives as if nothing had happened Prov 28:13.
Sin is the origin and source of life's battles and warfare. Only Jesus is the ultimate conqueror of life's warfare
Shun sin. Be remorseful, do not remain unrepentant.

The children of Ahab continue in their father's sin and God, by the hands of Jehu, killed them all.
2 Kings 10:11 So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.
Call to Word action
Turn away from sin!
Salvation is not pure if there is no turning away from sin.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
The Christian clarion duty
Unrepented sin will stand in the way of anyone. Sin covered, covers glory and some people have lost glory because of unrepented sin.
2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Prayer
1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Lord, keep me from sin, in Jesus name.
