Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Scripture Commentaries

There is a saying that goes "if a child does not know a story or history, he will hear handed down stories".

Children do not just talk. They are very plain and in truth, if you wish to know the truth in any home, ask a child.

There are some words spoken by a child that tells you he cannot have such knowledge except that, such words were spoken in his presence by his parents.

As parents, our unguarded impulse through our unhappy conversation may gradually increase the intensity to hate in our children.

Parents must be careful what they say or do in front of their children.

A child who hears hateful comments or words of contempt from his parents will utter such in the company of people.

Not all children are like Jonathan.

He heard his father's sinister plot to kill David. He did not go around spreading it but he chose to privily notify David.

Though his father's conversation was evil, Jonathan chose a heart most children of any age, may not have.

Jonathan's good choice paid off unto his next-generation, 2 Sam 9:1.

As a parent, you ought not to be hateful or engage in harmful conversation. When you do your child(ren) will say it outside.

What you do or say is what your children will do or say outside. Help them that their God-given morals and manners are not corrupted by your conversations.

Keep your conversation pure.

Prayer

Lord, let no corrupt communication proceed out of my mouth. Let such words that build and bring help to the hearer, come from my mouth, in Jesus name.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Good morning all and be blessed as you come into His presence, today.

God bless you.
