Insight and Highlight
Every believer will be tried.
If you are not joyful in trial, it may be the very reason why you must be tried by God to see if you are faithful to your calling.
Scripture Commentaries
Daily, our faith is under attack from the enemy. We are daily faced with trials and temptations.
How we will overcome will depend on how we perceived our challenges, namely: do we see trials and temptations as a way to achieve an end to prove our faithfulness to God like Paul did in his trials and Joseph did in his temptations, Gen 39:9.
Or, do we see what we go through as an opportunity we had long been waiting for and must not allow to slip like Rueben did (Gen 35:22) and like Esau did (Gen 25:22).
If you believe what you are going through will end up good for you, you will endure challenges and be patient with God.
Are you joyful in trials?
Remorse corner
It is hard to be joyful in trials. It is only in Christ can we really find joy and peace in the midst of life's storm.
You cannot handle trials alone, though friends may try but they get tired. Only Christ is sure Deliverer.
Call to Word action
James 1: 3-4 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
The Christian clarion duty
Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, as l go through trials, let me do so with peace and joy.
Help me to have joy in the midst of trials, it shows the world that Jesus is better.
