YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF PUNISHMENT FOR SATAN

Updated: Nov 9, 2021

Matthew 4:10-11 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Insight and Highlight Matt 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offense unto me: for thou savourest, not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.”

Scripture Commentaries How long the devil will continue to torment you will depend on the choice of command and punishment you want to be meted on him by God. Until you declare a spiritual war of "enough is enough", Heaven may not stop enemy activities in your life.

We all must know the devil never finally gives up his attack while the object of it is still on earth. Jesus teaches us in Matt 4:10 when He commanded Satan to get behind him and the Bible records he departed from Him. Luke 4:19 says And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. Though Luke reports Satan departed for a season, the devil never again came to tempt Jesus.

Paul teaches us in Acts 16:18-19 concerning the damsel possessed with a spirit of divination. Paul says "...I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone,..." The spirit was gone, never again to torment Paul as regards this demonically possessed girl.

Though the devil reared up his ugly heads against Paul's further missionary journeys, Paul overcame several of Satan's oppressions each time they came. Paul overcame by his choice of punishment he wanted God to give the devil as occasions demanded. Paul wished us in Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you. Amen. What would you want God to do in your life, concerning Satan?

Remorse corner Paul admonishes we pay all kinds of prayers in Eph 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying...

Call to Word action As you pray all kinds of prayer, Paul admonishes we pray with the understanding. 1 Cor 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

The Christian clarion duty God can give us a lifelong peace free of Satanic oppression.

Prayer Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Lord keep me and my family in perfect peace, keep Satan away from me, in Jesus' name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
