JESUS SAYS: I WILL COME AGAIN

Updated: Jan 6, 2022

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Insight and Highlight

As Jesus went to Heaven, so He will return from His Father's presence to take His followers to be with Him in Heaven.

Scripture Commentaries

Heb 13:14 informs us concerning this earth that in it "we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come."

We are to look, as Abraham did, " for a city which has foundations whose builder and maker is God", Heb 11:10.

Jesus said in John 17:24 "Father...l will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where l am....".

This is our hope as believers.

Why would Jesus want us to be with Him?

First, that we may be with Him forever, 1 Thess 4:17. At His return, He says He will "receive you unto myself", John 14:3.

Second, Christ's coming will enable us to escape the future hour of trials that will come upon the world, Luke 21:36.

Third, the glorious and eternal reunion, a comfort to all who desire to forever "...be with the Lord.."

Jesus has a home with many mansions to which "the House of God" now on earth will be transferred.

Rev 21: 1-3 says "...l saw a new Heaven and a new earth...Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."

Will you be there with God?

Will you go with Jesus when He comes again?

I pray you will and your household, in Jesus name.

Remorse corner

Phil 1: 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

Call to Word action

Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

The Christian clarion duty

1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

Prayer

Lord, take me with You when you come, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
