Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Insight and Highlight

If God is asking you to give Him something, it is because He knows you have it.

Scripture Commentaries

God cannot lack, He cannot be exhausted or run dry, Psalm 50:9-13. He is all-sufficient. He is more than enough to adequately supply all the needs of His creation.

Whatever He needs, He already created. If ever He needed anything, He will create it, John 1:3.

Until He gave Isaac to Abraham, He did not ask for his sacrifice, Gen 22:2.

He did not ask for the sacrifice of the ram whose horns were locked in the thickets until He provided it for Abraham, Gen 22:13.

A lesson from the life of Abraham illustrates God will never ask from you what He has not given to you.

There is no excuse for not giving God what He is asking from you.

Do not hold back what God requested from you because He knows you have it.

2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

2 Cor 8:11 Now, therefore, perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

Lord give me the Spirit of a willing mind to cheerfully give You out of what You have given me, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
