CHRISTIANS, BEWARE!

Updated: Nov 18, 2021

Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

Insight and Highlight

Galatians 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Scripture Commentaries

The scriptures record people who fell from the faith and true relationship with God.

Demas, 2 Tim 4:10, was a fellow worker, Philemon 1:24, a passionate greeter, Col 4:24.

There is a possibility of a fall from the faith (Heb 6:4-6) and a possibility of a replacement for any erring and unrepentant carnal Christians, ref 1 Sam 13:13-14.

David lamented of Saul, 1 Samuel 1:27 How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!

There is a limit as to who Satan can bring down, if you walk after the flesh, you are playing into his hands, if you walk in the Spirit, you will overcome him, Rom 8:13.

Pray for your fellow Christian, Luke 22:31.

Fellow Christian, pray for yourself, without ceasing, 1 Thess 5:17.

However, there is no limit as to whom Satan cannot tempt, James 1:13. If he can tempt Jesus, he can tempt anyone, Matt 4:1-11

He can only operate within God's permissive will, Job 2:6.

Be careful the devil tempts and dangles his carrots before anyone but only those who eat his baits become his victims.

Particularly worthy of note also is, he bewitches the careless Christian, uses them temporarily, and dumps them.

If he can bewitch the careless Galatian. The Apostle lambasted them saying they once began in the Spirit but had now fallen and made perfect in the flesh, Gal 3:1, 3. A careless Christian's eventual fall begins little by little.

Galatians 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Do not fall in or within the category of those Satan can bring to a fall.

Remorse corner

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel.

Call to Word action

The Apostle's heart bled for the Galatians.

Galatians 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

The Christian clarion duty

Be careful: Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?", Gal 5:7.

Follow Godly direction, be teachable, do not fall!

Prayer

1 Cor 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Lord keep me awake to righteousness.

Let me not think too highly of myself.

Teach me your knowledge, in Jesus' name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
