1 Sam 28:8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.
Scripture Commentaries
If it seems to you God is not responding, seek Him the more.
Two scriptures, among many, will help us:
First, Deut 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
Second, John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Do not be persuaded to seek the counsel of the ungodly or soothsayer, Prov 1:10.
Be careful let not your life be guarded by prophets who will deliver prophecies to you at all cost. Beware of induced, forced, or calculated prophecies.
The prophecy for your life can only be inspired by the Holy Spirit through an ordained source, either yourself and/or the prophet of God. Even the true prophet of God is fallible if he speaks by his own spirit (the prophet Samuel, in 1Sam 16:6-7).
Saul was not hearing from God, 1 Sam 28:6.
He sought after the spirit of a witch to bring up Samuel to hear God's mind, 1 Sam 28:8.
God was angry with him so he took him down. This was the final word, the scripture says about Saul the king who started well but finished woefully. 1 Chron 10:13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it;
Remember, God will not afflict, He is loving, He sees your pains. He will deliver you, trust Him.
Stay with God. Seek no other than God.
Seek no medium spirits.
Seek no other way, seek The Way, John 14:6.
Remorse corner
Remember always, Lev 19:31 Regard not those who have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
Call to word action
Leviticus 20:6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
The Christian clarion duty
Do not be tempted to follow after psychics.
Christians must never go to psychics.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Lev 20:7 Sanctify yourselves, therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
