Genesis 40:13, 23 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler. But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house. Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

Scripture Commentaries
One of Joseph's most painful moments was when the Chief cupbearer forgot him.
We all want to be relevant and true love is when we have people in our hearts. It will help us to treat them fairly
God, who never chooses to forget anyone says in Isaiah 49:16 *Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
To be forgotten at the time you wished remembered can be most agonizing especially when you are in need or expecting a good return for a good deed you had done to someone.
There is an English proverbial expression that goes: 'one good turn deserves another.
Joseph beseeched the Chief cupbearer to remember him after Joseph had interpreted his dream. The forgetfulness of the cupbearer must have made his time in prison more mentally agonizing.
Day by day, as the minutes ticked, each moment passing by remained unforgettable moments of forgetfulness to Joseph.
People forget, preachers, forget, we all forget one time or the other but it may not be excusable to forget "one good turn deserves another".
Inspire kindness, remember those who have been kind to you. Be kind to others.

The Christian clarion duty
In times of trouble being left alone, forgotten could be more agonizing than the trouble itself. To be forgotten by people you highly expected to remember you could be emotionally traumatizing.
Prayer
Lord remember me. Though children of men may forget me, please be my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, in Jesus name.
