HOW RIGHT IS YOUR HEART?

Updated: Mar 4, 2022

Psalm 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest and be clear when thou judgest.

Insight and Highlight

It takes more than the spirit of a man to accept he is wrong.

Scripture Commentaries

There are different kinds of people.

There are those who are penitent, they sin and acknowledge they have sinned, they despise the shame, seek forgiveness, receive it and forsake sin.

There are those who lie through their teeth, refuse to acknowledge and confess their sins.

To be truly regenerate, starts from the heart, ref Rom 10:10. You need to totally submit to God from your heart, to receive the grace that is already made available. This grace will help to save you, ref Eph 2:8.

The ordinary, natural man needs a new heart, touch, and grace because It takes more than the spirit of an ordinary man to accept he is evil. Rom 8:7 says the "....carnal mind is enmity against God.

The mind that does not know God, is a natural mind. 1 Cor 2:14 says about the natural mind as one that "receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

No ordinary man's spirit will admit he is wrong. Only an inspiration from the Almighty could give him an understanding of how God feels about sin, convict him and cause him to change from his evil ways ref Job 32:8.

This is why David asked that a new heart be created in him and a right spirit be renewed within him.

God is a spirit, it, therefore, goes to say, our relationship in Christ is in the Spirit, John 4:24.

Do you wish to have a changed life?

Ask for a new heart, and a renewed right spirit from God, Psalm 51:10.

Do you find yourself doing what you ought not to do? Seek for a renewed spirit within you.

Remorse corner

Call to Word action

Every human being is born with the propensity to sin. Rom 3:23. If however, you submit to Christ, willing to change, the grace to be saved is activated, ref Eph 2:8.
