Whom can l share my secret with?

Prov 25:14 tells us God has secrets so there are secrets. We see also that God shares secrets but only with those who fear Him.
Therefore, based on this, you can share, but how do you know whom to share with? How do you know a trusted friend?
The following will help you:
First, If he/she shares other people's secrets to you, he may not be a good person to share your secret with. Prov 11:13 - A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
Second, if he/she has been unstable in your relationship, he may not be a good person to share a secret with. Remember a friend today could be your worst enemy tomorrow.
Third, test and reveal a little to him and see how he runs with it. It will help you to discern if he is a true friend you could confide in, ref Prov 29:11
Fourth, in your relationship with this person, does he/she love your progress? How does he respond when you share the good news with him/her. Remember also not to be deceived with pretenses.
Fifth and most important, pray for the choice of a friend.
A friend you can share secrets with is found in Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
Everyone needs a friend who is a friend in ups and downs. Most people are friends when things are well with you. They are called "fair weather friends". They have no threshold for "mishaps or failures". There is a famous maxim which goes: "a friend in times of need is a friend indeed.
You do not need to share your secrets with all your companions because they are not all friends. Prov 18:24 says if you consider all the people you know as friends, you may come to ruin. Look for a friend who stay close, who is readily available come what may. A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who stays closer than a brother.

Pray God, if you are one who talks too much. There are times you are wise when you talk less.

Prov 17: 28 Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and be a fool.

Lord, bring along my way the God-fearing whom l can share my secret with.
Help me not to say more than l should say anytime, anywhere, in Jesus name.
