2 Kgs 5:26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

Insight and Highlight

You cannot hide from God.

Psalm 94:9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

Scripture Commentaries

Gehazi, a servant, with a high probability of inheriting a double portion of a double spirit deceived his master but unknown to him, his master knew his deception.

The Apostle Paul informs us that though a man in the Spirit may be absent in the body at a place, he is present there in the spirit.

1 Cor 5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed."

Elisha was not privy to Gehazi's hideous act.

He went and hid the treasures, and behaved as if nothing had happened, but Elisha was present there in the spirit.

Elisha said "....Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee?..."

When you deceive, bear in mind Psalm 44:21 Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

God searched Gehazi out and He revealed his deception.

Philp 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,...if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

You cannot hide from God.

Remorse corner

Proverbs 20:12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.

Call to Word action

Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

The Christian clarion duty

Colossians 2:5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

Lord, help me do "....whatsoever things are of good report," in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
