Scripture Commentaries
Envy brings bitterness.
Bitterness is a slow killer. You cannot be bitter and at the same time be better. You cannot be bitter and not be affected health-wise.
Bible says it brings rottenness of bones Prov14:30 "....envy the rottenness of the bones.
If you are truly of God, you will not be envious.
Be happy when others succeed. Appreciate people for what they have which you do not have, for what and who they are which you are not.
You can know you are jealous when you are envious. You are envious when you feel threatened by others' success.
Be careful, be contented.
Remorse corner
The bible says anyone who is bitter must never boast he is wise and good.
It says anyone who is bitter is a liar of any sort.
Call to Word action
James 3:14-15 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
This wisdom descendeth not from above but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
The Christian clarion duty
A bitter in heart will not admit his envy and bitterness. He is not of God but of the devil, James 3:15 "....but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
Prayer
2 Pet 2:14-18 Having eyes... that cannot cease from sin; .... a heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children.
Lord let my eyes and heart be filled with contentment, in Jesus name.
