Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Insight and Highlight
Renewing our minds is a command we must obey. It is best achieved by releasing ourselves to Christ so that He can help us change the way we think.
Scripture Commentaries
The Apostle Paul admonishes ways we could renew our minds.
First. we should not copy the behavior and customs of this world.
Second, we release ourselves to God that He may transform us.
Third, we should see our release and submission to God as a mandatory requirement after having worked on it ourselves. We must prepare ourselves to allow for our sanctification.
Fourth, when we are transformed, the way we think will change.
When we are transformed, we will learn to know God's will for our lives which is good, pleasing, and perfect for us.
Do not walk in your will. Search and pray for what the will of God is.
Remorse corner
The life you live is not your own.
A mind willing to be renewed will release itself to God.
Call to Word action
Do not think the way the world thinks. The world will want you to think as it thinks. Only through Christ's transformation will the way you think to change. God transforms you into a new person by changing the way you think.
The Christian clarion duty
Those whose minds are renewed will learn to know God's will for their lives.
Prayer
Lord help me as l renew my mind in Christ that l may walk and live a good, well-pleasing, and perfect life, in Jesus name.
