ADAM.....WHERE ART THOU?

Updated: Feb 4, 2022

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Insight and Highlight

1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Scripture Commentaries

It is not revealed where Adam was when the serpent came to tempt Eve.

In Gen 3:9, God called unto Adam "....and said unto him, Where art thou?

Today, God is calling you asking where you are in your relationship.

Not to say God did not know where Adam was. God knows everything and nothing is hidden from Him. 1 Sam 2:3 "....LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

There are realities we can further adduce from Gen 3:6 on where Adam was at the time of Eve's temptation.

It tells us there are times when couples cannot but experience a time or moment of being alone, away from each other.

At this time of being seperate, discretion (that is, the point to decide what should be done in a particular situation) is key to overcoming on their own.

Only an inspiration from the Spirit can help, when you find yourself in the situation Eve found herself.

In any good relationship, barring an unavoidable distancing, we must always do our best never to distance ourselves when we are expected to be close to one another.

Neglect can be very destructive.

When parties to a relationship or an existing marital relationship distance themselves both physically and emotionally, something devilish will occupy that opened or neglected space.

The scripture in Matt 12:44 speaks of an unclean spirit that was cast out but came back finding its former home unoccupied. The spirit took over the empty space uninvited and without permission, Matt 12:45.

The same the devil does when there is neglect of any party in a relationship.

Is God asking of you as in Adam saying "Adam, where art thou"

Is your partner or spouse asking "where art thou"?

Work and examine yourself.

How well do you care in your relationship?

Remorse corner

Pay attention to each other. Care to know what is going on with him/her.

Do not allow the devil to have a place in your relationship and home.

Call to Word action

Neglect becomes most destructive when the devil occupies the neglected space.

The Christian clarion duty

Cover all grounds. Let not the devil build your home for himself.

Prayer

Lord, let not the devil have a place in my home and relationship, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
