Judges 6:13– And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us?
Insight and Highlight
To ask a question is to answer it. Many at times we know why we have fallen into our challenges but we fail to admit, asking God for answers to what we already know.
We have the responsibility anytime we ask God questions having at the back of minds that: to ask the question is to answer it.
Is there any evil in the world that would stop my love to Christ or that would stop Christ from loving a man that cleaves to Him?
To answer the former, we know challenges militate against our love for Christ. They separate us from our joy, make life miserable for us.
To answer the latter, as long as we are deeply rooted in Christ there is hope that a loving God will not fail in His love for those who cleave to Him.
We must remember that change in seasons that cause leaves and flowers to die do not affect the life that is in the roots of such because in due seasons, they spring up again!, ref Job 14:7.
So we must never allow our challenges to deny us of the power in Christ.
Christianity may not be the removal of weakness but it is the power of God made perfect in weakness.
Nothing must break the solid bond that binds our hearts to Jesus, if we are to rise to the height Christ expects of us.
Being good is not a guarantee of a trouble-free life. Sometimes we suffer, not because we do wrong but because we do right.
Call to Word action
Job 14:8-9– Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
The Christian clarion duty
Remember when it comes to life's challenges: it is not much about what happens to us, it is how we respond to challenges that makes much difference.
Lord, keep the troubles of life away from me. Be my shield and banner in Jesus' name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
