Gen 37: 19-20

*And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.*

*Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.*

A dream is vision. Do not kill it.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Dreams remain one of the ways God reveals hidden things to us and, among many other things, speak to us.

God knows we need prophetic vision and revelation to help us navigate into our future. So He reveals through dreams, prophecy etc, (Deut 29:29).

What we often become in future is a product of divine revelation.

Dreams are mysteries and are often not clear. You may have to search out their meaning.

While Joseph saw Pharaoh's dreams as a divine revelation and searched every avenue for answers, he sought until he found a prisoner whom he had despised as a non-entity and an 'alleged convicted rapist'.

He was prepared to put his wrong right not minding his previous injustice as long as the vision was interpreted.

In Gen 41:25, Joseph told Pharaoh *".....God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.*

God's revelation (through dreams etc.) is to tell you what He is about to do not what you are to do to help Him. His revelation is to give you a guide or a compass to guide you in order to achieve His divine will for you.

Joseph's brother wanted to help themselves, though achieved a selfish end but failed.

Joseph's brothers did nothing to search out but grew more and more hostile.

Good things are often placed in small boxes just as they are hidden in dreams and you are better off not underestimating the dream.

Treasures are hidden in dark often frightening dreams.

They are often like a jigsaw puzzle and until you find your way through the mystery or the jigglesaw you may not find it.

They carry hidden treasures/pearl (Matt 13:44-46).

As the world's most treasured ornaments

are often many feet under or beneath the earth surface requiring intense drilling, excavation, minning etc to unearth the gold, silver, diamonds, copper, uranium etc which today are world's most decorated and expensive jewelries so also it is required of dreams.

If you are as curious as some heathen kings recorded in the bible (Dan 2, 4, 5) who sought after interpretation you can achieve your visions received through dreams.

Jacob got a breakthrough through a dream he had, Gen 31:10-12.

Be not be spiritually blind like the brothers of Joseph. Let your dreams inspire action, avoid dispute and stagnation.

They missed the vision in the dreams. They did not see it as a spiritual revelation or God's word.

They were temporarily disconnected from divine truth and guidance.

If you do not hear from God, He can give you dreams or both.

Prov 29:18 teaches us that people who lack vision: revelation, spiritual guidance, perish.

Joseph's brothers, the eleven stars became undisciplined, unrestrained, and prone to sinful or self-destructive behaviors, losing their moral compass.

Help me to connect with Your revelations. Let me not dispute it in Jesus name.
