SEASON OF VISITATION

Luke 1:37-45 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;

40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.

41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

Scripture Commentaries

In the life of a person, there will be a time in a season that will mark God's transforming visitation in his/her life.

This visitation usually marks a turning point and his/her will never remain as it was.

As God is working so also there are powers of darkness at work, unrelenting in pursuit of your, joy, peace, and prosperity.

These powers are out to destroy your relationship with God. Job says this evil power, Satan, in Job 1: 7 goes "....to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

In our text of today, Elizabeth was barren but had now conceived. She and her husband in spite of their barrenness continued to serve God. While in the Lord's service, they received a day of visitation, Luke 1:6-7, 13.

Mary visited Elisabeth and after the visitation came forth a fullness of time:

Luke 1:57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.

There are warnings informing us why one may not receive in the season of God's visitation.

We will not receive God's visitation if we do not... Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Heb 12:14-16.

We will not receive God's visitation if we are not diligent and we have a root of bitterness. Heb 12:16 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many are defiled;

Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

The secret to receiving in this season of visitation is in:

Galatians 6:9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.

Can a person miss his/her time and season of visitation?

Yes, Luke 19:44 They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not recognize it when God visited you.(NIV).

You will not miss your time and season of God's visitation, in Jesus' name.

You do not know your day of visitation but it will happen in this season of visitation and when it comes you will recognize it if you do not slack.

Do not give up.

Remorse corner

If you are tired of beginning with what is high and end up descending to what is low, be alert, connect with God this season.

It is a season of visitation that will overrule the powers of the enemy at work in your situation.

Call to Word action

2 Tim 4:2  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

1 Cor 15:58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

The Christian clarion duty

The next 3 months from today (June, July, and August) will be crucial and decisive. A God's visitation that will open the floodgates of Heaven's blessings is yours for the asking and is available for the receiving.

You will not miss the time of your visitation.

Prayer

Psalm 119:133  Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Lord, order my steps this season. Visit me and fulfill Your promises for me.

Let no iniquity stand in my way in this season of visitation, in Jesus' name.
