*RULERS OF KINGDOM OF MEN (2)*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Gen 41:38-44
*And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?*
*And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:*
*Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.*
*And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.*
*And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;*
*And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.*
*And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
While God's covenant blessings found Abraham, the Spirit of interpretation, though both are the works of the Spirit, found Joseph.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Joseph was seventeen years old when he had two dreams of how he would dominate his brothers and the world, Gen 37: 5-9.
Hidden in these dreams were how his dominion would be achieved, when this dominion would come to pass, where this dominion would take place, and what he would go through before he would achieve dominion.
Joseph could never go to Pharaoh. Pharaoh could never think or imagine he and Joseph would ever see again. It could only be through God, so He gave Pharaoh two dreams that would bring both Pharaoh and Joseph together, Gen 41:1.
Joseph stood before Pharaoh, Gen 41:46.
At this juncture of Joseph's life, all four aforementioned questions were answered.
How? ( God only showed him the beginning and the end. He did not know what would happen in between). At age 30, when he stood before Pharaoh, Joseph had a clear interpretation of the dream he had 13 years ago. He had a clear answer as to how and when his dominion would be achieved. It would be through the interpretation of two dreams that Pharaoh of Egypt had, Gen 41:1-7, and this will happen when he was at the age of 30.
It would be in Egypt, after he would have gone through life's challenges of the pit, sold into slavery, lies, and imprisonment.
In Gen 42:9, he connected the dots, put them together, and he understood the dreams he had.
While Abraham was 99 years old to fully realize he would be the father of nations, Gen 17, Joseph was just 30 years old.
These dreams and interpretations were unusual, and God had kept it that there was *"..... none that can interpret it:....."* Gen 41:15.
It was clear that Pharaoh would not be able to find *....a man discreet and wise,....* besides Joseph, a *"......man in whom the Spirit of God is?* Gen 41:38-39.
God had created a need for Pharaoh to call Joseph into his presence.
God had created a situation of life and death for Pharaoh and Egypt.
A Hebrew boy despised and rejected, never expected to be somebody in life stepped into the scene of the Egyptian economy to save it.
He was an example of people who, by God's appointment through the school of harsh life's realities, days and nights of despair, and wanting to give up on life became rulers of the kingdom of men.
Whether or not there was an economic planner in Egypt at that time did not matter.
It was a matter of either getting rid of the current economic minister and placing Joseph there but what we are made to know is that a position was created for a Hebrew sold into slavery and must, without any hesitation, manage the world economic crisis and ensure world survival, Gen 41:57.
Pharaoh would only be greater than Joseph on the throne, Gen 41: 40, but Joseph shall be over Pharaoh's house, and according to Joseph's word, shall all Egypt be ruled, Gen 41:40.
Pharaoh transferred all the instruments of authority to Joseph. No one is to do anything without the consent and approval of Joseph.
The people must *"Bow the knee:...."* to Joseph whom Pharaoh had made *"....ruler over all the land of Egypt.*
The 'constitution' of Egypt was re-rewitten, Gen 41:42-44.
By the Egyptian monarch, Pharaoh became the head of state but not the head of government.
Egypt became a unitary state, a central government. All governing power is vested solely and totally in Joseph.
The Pharaoh will no longer make any open political or economic decisions. All these decisions will be taken by Joseph, the head of government.
There was only one primary level of power within the country of Egypt, and that was Joseph.
Pharaoh's throne became like a constitutional monarchy where his monarch shares power with a constitutionally organized government under Joseph.
Pharaoh was limited, or better still, limited himself, of absolute power over Egypt.
All these were so because of the Spirit of God in Joseph, a man discreet and wise.
God went ahead of him. Prepared a place for him and but for the throne which Pharaoh must not abdicate, Pharaoh could have left everything to Joseph and though he did not leave the throne for Joseph, the role of Joseph was just as powerful as the throne!

Ask for the Spirit of God!
The story of Joseph teaches us that when God is ready, leaders chosen by men in the kingdom of men will need men chosen by God to rule in the kingdom of men.
Live to make God ready to make you a ruler of the kingdom of men.
*Call to Word.*
Life's challenges did not discourage Joseph from exercising his gift. In prison, he was diligent in business. This made and brought him to Pharaoh.
*Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.* Prov 22:29.
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Do you want to rule the kingdom of men?
Do well in what God has endowed you. Though no one may see you, or nothing may seem to be happening, trust that God is working through dreams or other ways, in the one or those whom He will use to elevate you.
*Prayer.*
Lord, bring me to my fulfilled destiny. Wherever l am today, please make me a ruler of the kingdom of men, in Jesus name.
