*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*MIND YOUR BUSINESS!*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Job 1:6-8 *Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.*

*And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.*

*And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Satan is an invader of privacy, so we must tell him to mind his business!

*Scripture Commentaries.*

The life of Job teaches us that God is a minder. He looks after and takes care of us.

There is, however, an intruder of God's guidance. This intruder of our privacy with God is our enemy, Satan.

In life, our principal objective is to first be minders of God's business.

If we want God to say as He spoke of Job, we must mind God's ways, His will, and business.

Job minded his business, Job 1:3.

He also minded God's business in righteous living:

Job 1:1 says *There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.*

Job 1:8 says *And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?*

The life of Job teaches us that living righteous does not exempt us from trials. It will inevitably come to us, Jam 1:2-4, Acts 14:22, 2 Tim 3:12,

Only living in God will see us triumph over trials, 1 Cor 10:13.

If Satan could be allowed to test a righteous man, how would an unrighteous man fare with Satan's test?

The triumph of Job was because he minded God's business, Job 42.

His story teaches us that seeking after God's righteousness is our business and the only security against Satan's assaults and attacks.

Satan could only attack him but could not be victorious because Job did not allow Satan in the affairs of his life.

We must tell Satan to mind his business and leave us alone, but some people are in business with Satan, so he minds their business for them.

Your life will be Satan's life/ business if you do not tell him to mind his business.

Some of Satan's businesses are:

Eph 5: 4-6 speaks of *"..... filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:...."*

*".......whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater,......"*

*......deceivers with vain words....."*

Paul mentions the works of the flesh in Eph 5:19-21.

Among others are gossip, malice, takebearing, etc.

You can not tell Satan to mind his business if you are in business with him.

You can not do Satan's things and expect Satan to keep out out of your life/ business.

God has His business, John 14:34. This is why He will ask account for all we have done, Rom 14:12. Let us mind this business.

Paul says we mind our business in Christ when the mind of Christ is in us, Phil 2:5.

Let Satan mind his business while you mind God's.

Do you want to tell Satan to mind his business?

If you do, make sure you mind your business, too. Do not meddle into his business. Keep to yourself in Christ and keep to God's ways. In John 14:30: *Jesus says Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.*

This was Job's confidence too, Job 23:10.

Your business will become Satan's business if you do not, in Christ, mind your business.

Before you ask Satan to mind his business, make sure you are not in business with him!

Are you confident to tell Satan to mind his business?

*Remorse corner.*

When you mind God's business, you take care of it. When you tell Satan to mind his business, you tell him to keep away from you!

*Call to Word action.*

In whose business are you? God's or Satan's? Whose business you are in will depend on the mind you have.

Philipns 2:5 *Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

As you invite Jesus, Satan invites himself. Tell Satan to mind his business! Matt 16:23 *"......Get thee behind me, Satan:..."*

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to mind my God-given business. Do not let me be distracted. Do not let me allow Satan to mind my business for me. Satan, mind your business in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
