MAKE NO PROVISION FOR THE FLESH (2)

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Insight and Highlight

Proverbs 1:7  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge:

The foundation of all marital bliss and excellence is the fear of the Lord.

Scripture Commentaries

There is always a problem when any party to any marriage does not fear the Lord.

A husband's praise to a wife or verse versa is best suited when it is assigned to the just background and foundation of the fear of the Lord.

Gracefulness in words of endearment like "honey", "dear", "sugar" or gracefulness referring to the loveliness of any form of a spouse's hard work and usefulness are misleading if the fear of God is absent.

As fathers and parents, let us assign ourselves to the fear of God.

When you fear God, you will place real value on God's institution called marriage.

Eph 5:25 Husband's love your wives...

Romans 13:14  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

Remorse corner

For you to be a true father and husband, you must walk within the confines of the fear of God.

Call to Word action

The fear of God is the beginning, Prov 1:7.

It is also the conclusion, Eccl 12:13

The Christian clarion duty

The fear of God, a reverence or Holy fear, is a strong admonition to Godly virtues and equally a strong dissuasive from vice/evil.

Prayer

Proverbs 8:13  The fear of the LORD is to hate evil.

Lord help all our father-husbands to love their wives. Give them the knowledge to deal with their wives that their prayers be not hindered.

Help all fathers to be true and fathers indeed in Jesus' name.

May God bless all fathers and make us all fathers indeed in Jesus' name.

Good morning all and be blessed as we come into His presence, today.

God bless you.
