*WISDOM FOR TODAY*. *JESUS IS COMING SOON.** *Scripture Treasure.* Romans 13:12 ► *The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.* *Insight and Highlight.* Christs return will be clearly marked with surprises, amazement and unexpectedness. *Scripture Commentaries.* Paul believed in the Lord's imminent return. As believers, we all must prepare daily because He can come anytime no one know of. Before He establishes His kingdom on earth, Jesus will come for His Church, an event commonly referred to as the "Rapture." This event is marked by the transfer the faithful of His churches to Heaven. Jesus says in John 14:3 ► *And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.* Paul believed the event could happen even in his generation so he expressed to himself and alerted the others in his time that the *"..day is at hand, let us therefore cast off the works of darkness..."* By this statement, Paul was warning others that to continue in darkness is an obstacle to rapture. Christ, however, warned that He would return at a time when the faithful were sure that He would not come Matt 24:42, 44 ► *Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.* *Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.* Matt 24:50 ► *The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,* We are admonished to know the Lord's will and prepare for His coming. Luke 12: 47 ► *And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.* Be prepared, He is coming soon and the time is not known to us. Matt 24:36 ► *But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only . . . Watch therefore:.."* *Remorse corner.* Will the Lord find you in His service when He comes? Luke 12: 35 ► *Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.* *Call to Word action.* Luke 12:46 ► *The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.* *The Christian clarion duty.* For this reason, God's children must always be spiritually ready and must *"..cast off the works of darkness .."* *Prayer* Matthew 25:13 ► *Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.* Lord, help me to watch and pray, while l live.
