Job's three miserable friends, Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar in many of their verbal assaults on Job, accused him of committing sin and believed his suffering was deserved as a result. They built their words on the platform that bad things only happen to bad people.
One of Job's three miserable friends, Zophar, used a very strong allegory on Job saying an empty-headed person could only get understanding when a wild ass's colt is born a man!.
In other words, Zophar was convinced what happened to Job will cling to him as long as it is not possible an ass is born a man.
So, since it is not possible an ass is born a man, Job cannot become better or wiser or put away his secret sin.
Only when he is prepared to put away his secret sin, then he shall again know prosperity and be established.
His three friends were however wrong.
There was no secret sin with Job and though an ass cannot be born a man, God restored Job 42:10.
God has the final say!
If you are of God, the Holy Spirit will testify of you to the heart of men, Numb 27:18, Job 42: 7, ref John 15:26.
If the Holy Spirit testifies of you, it will not matter what anyone says about you.
