Insight and Highlight
Just because God has a plan, does not mean the journey will be easy.
Scripture Commentaries
Jesus' promises to us are as good as God Himself. As He said at creation so His word has been, He is faithful and ever fulfilling and so He will be to the very end, Isaiah 40:8.
Along with His great promises are His words warning us of dangers, resentments, and oppositions: John 16:33 – These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
God is Sovereign and capable of destroying any force of evil. Challenges are uphill battles we face because of the evil world we live in.
With or without them, God will be faithful to His good plans for us.
These challenges however may determine what God would do or not, if we faint fall back, fail to resist, or fail to persevere to the end, Heb 10:36, 38– For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draws back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Call to Word action
Habakkuk 3:17-18 – Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Christian clarion duty
Though the road may be rough, broken, have valleys, the old rugged cross will be a bridge for me to cross over.
Prayer
Lord, l stand in awe of you. You are faithful to your promises. Though the road may be rough, help me, count me faithful and obedient to receive your good promises for my life in Jesus' name.
