*FLESH AND BLOOD (7)*

Matt 26: 41 *Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
How well you can engage the Spirit will show how well you have overcome your flesh.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
There is no way flesh and blood could be any way strong. It will always be weak because it carries too many yokes.
Paul tells us of the works of the flesh
*Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
He mentions thirteen, namely *ldolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,*
*Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.*
He mentions nine as fruit of the Spirit
*But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,*
*Meekness, temperance: against such, there is no law.* Gal 5; 19-23.
There is no way anyone could be carrying this load of vices of the works of the flesh and expect to prosper in flesh and blood.
No wonder Jesus implied the yokes we carry as heavy. He says we are heavy laden. A term that illustrates something difficult.
Jesus tells us to come to Him because His yoke is easy and his burden is light, Matt 11:28-30.
Our lives are difficult because of our sinful nature, Gen 3:17.
Human in flesh and blood shed fellow human's blood, Gen 4:8 and sacrifice fellow human flesh and drink their blood, Ps 106: 37-38.
Remember Jesus's word
John 6:63 *It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.*
We are in a place where we can not do but live in flesh and blood. This, however, does not make us servant to their desires. If Jesus says they profit nothing, then we must always walk in what would give us constant victory, and this is the Spirit.
Are you walking in the flesh and blood without the Spirit? If you are, you are living on borrowed time.
Receive freedom through the Spirit today!

The flesh that carries thirteen vices and still counting can not gather strength and can not be sustained without God.
*Call to Word action.*
The flesh is carrying more than it could take to make it survive.
Jesus says, *"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.* Matt 11:29.
*The Christian clarion call.*
Jesus admonishes that we call on the Spirit that is ever ready when the ever weak flesh rears up its ugly head.
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me. Do not allow the weakness of the flesh to prevent me from engaging the Spirit in prayer, in Jesus name.
