WISDOM FOR TODAY.

DO NOT GIVE UP, GET UP.

Scripture Treasure.Job 23:1-3*Then Job answered and said,**Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.**Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!*

Insight and Highlight. There are people whose lives have been tested to the limit of endurance.

Scripture Commentaries.Job's life was a perfect example of a life devoted to God but made to endure trials that he did not deserve. We could say he was a prototype of Jesus.Though we often suffer what we know nothing about or are often tempted but God tells us it ".....is common to man....", 1 Cor 10:13.James says you ".....count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;..."In our pains and subsequent petition to God as to 'why' we go through them, we expect answers from God, but not everything receives an answer from Him.We must learn to realize that even His silence could be an answer. Not every innocent sufferer receives an explanation as to why he is going through his pain. We can not box God to a corner. He is not a prisoner to what He decides to do or not. He remains unquestionable.Rom 11:33 says His ways are ".....past finding out!"Of a truth, we must learn to question our ways or examine ourselves, (ref 1 Cor 11:28)before we question why God has allowed what is happening to us.When God spoke in Job 1, the next time He spoke was in Job 38, and this continued to Job 42.We do not know how long Job suffered but it is clear that at least a week's suffering was recorded, and for those seven days "....his grief was very great., Job 2:13.There were indications that he suffered for months, too. In Job 7:3, he said So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.One thing we know when people suffer is that even one day can be like eternity. When God answered him, He did not answer him directly but with questions and answers highlighting His power over His creation, Job 38.Job had a long period of suffering and an unestimated period of silence from God. God was not talking to him, yet His silence was not His absence. He was there with Job carefully listening, seeing how his wife, friends, and the community departed him. Many of his comments pointed to the temptation to turn away from God.Though God had answers to his suffering but His silence also teaches us about our expectations in life or what life entails.First, people may depart from you or be silent to your cry for help in your suffering.Second, people will be silent or depart from you in your most trying moments and when you need them most. His friends comfort was hurtful. Job 32:1 says Job's three friends ".....ceased to answer Job.Third, those who are not silent will speak words that will add more to your problems.People will attribute your suffering to sin though it is not, Job 16:2. At least God made it clear that Job's friends had not said the truth about Job, Job 42:7.Fourth, it is only in trials and sufferings that you know those who are true friends.Fifth, no one is beyond trial, especially those who are walking with God uprightly.Sixth, to show that no one will boast that he is more righteous or that he is not going through trials, temptation, or challenges because he is more righteous than others or anyone else. God can try even the righteous Job 1:8.Seventh, though He had answers to Job's suffering, God's silence teaches us that not everything in life has an explanation. There are reasons why things may happen, but there may be no explanation made to no one why they happen. Attimes not offering explanations may not be deliberate and attimes, it may be.While men are deliberately wicked in their silence to explain, God is ever faithful when He either chooses to speak or not.So we see that everything God allows teaches us about life's lessons.Whatever God chooses to do in your moment of despair, trust that God does not want you to give up. He wants you to get up!

Remorse corner. Is God silent? Not expected He would, but He can be silent to silence your challenges. Just hold on tight to Him.

Call to Word action.Yes, God may choose to be silent, though it is not expected He would but know that His silence is a voice. Do not misinterpret His silence. It could be a message to desire or test your patience. Be patient. He may be silent desiring to speak at other times.

The Christian clarion duty.Though silent to Job until later, His silence was strong enough to keep Job strong, and it kept him from giving up.

Prayer.Lord, help me to be patient in Your silence. Help me so that during Your silence in my time of trouble, l will not give up but get up, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
