*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*YOU CAN NOT BE CURSED....."*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Numb 22: 6:

*Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

You can not be cursed when God blesses you.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God was defending Israel, but they did not know. Numb 22-23 tells us of the divine role God plays but unknown to us.

Israel was blessed by God, but Satan and Israel's enemies did not care.

It would be right to say Satan did not care they were blessed or not.

Three times, Balak had hired Balaam to curse Israel. He did not tell Balak to his face initially that he could not curse Israel because they were blessed, but his later actions and words consistently conveyed this message, Numb 23:8.

One of the lessons in this story is that it teaches us that how God sees us will determine how defensive He would be for us.

As far as God was concerned, Israel was blessed, and it did not matter what people would do to harm them.

Some circumstances we find ourselves may point to some predicaments that may follow us like the Israelites found themselves before Balak, the king of Moab, because they were many.

This circumstance threatened their existence but did not determine their future. God defined them in another way.

What would the Israelites have done if they knew Balak wanted Balaam to curse them?

Maybe they did not even know what God was doing for them because obviously it was unknown to them.

Maybe they did not even know they could be this blessed to be protected by God if they eventually knew the evil plans of Balak and God's security over them.

Even if they knew what to do, they might not have been able to do much against a king who was prepared to give all he had to destroy them.

Balak was unable to achieve his evil plan because God had gone ahead of Israel.

We can learn that nobody could make us any lesser than what God had made us.

Whatever the enemy does to curse or destroy you, as long as God has not forsaken you, you can never be any less blessed than the blessing God has given you.

This is why it is important that we stay on God's side. People destroy people before their time, Eccl 7:17. The devil can kill people, John 10:10a.

To remain to achieve God's blessings for your life walk with God. Only He could tell the enemy who wants to curse you that you can not be cursed because He has blessed you.

Many times, we only see our challenges, and we focus on them not thinking or perceiving God is working in our situations.

This story teaches us that, for those who are God's children, He does work in their situations and will eventually come through for them.

Believe God is working something out for you, though you may not see it.

His silence is not absence.

You can not be cursed when God blesses you. If you remain in His blessed state, any curse without a cause or reason shall not stand against you, Prov 26:2.

*Remorse corner.*

God is working all things together for you because you love Him and are called according to His purpose, though you may not know, Rom 8:28.

*Call to Word action.*

God is working to save your life.

The book of Job teaches us how Job was ignorant of God's intervention. Though God allowed for his sufferings, he kept Satan from taking his life, Job 1:12.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Your ugly situation can not define you because God has defined you as blessed!

*Prayer.*

Lord, please frustrate every enemy's attempt to curse me. Let me remain blessed in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

Shalom.
