1 Peter 2:9 *But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;*

A humble heart will praise God.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
God says He has raised us to *"..... declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.*, 1 Pet 2:9.
This, God has done, not for any other reason but to us as special people from whom His praise will be accepted
In return God says that He will elevate us to praise, fame, and glory above all the nations He has made.
By this we will receive praise and honor because we are a peculiar people, *"....a holy people to the LORD your God as He promised.”*, Deut 26:18b, 1 Pet 2:9.
From this, we are able to see that this elevation, as promised by God, begins with our resolve to first honor Him as LORD.
He says in 1 Sam 2:30 *"....for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed."*
Every believer must know, he/she is God's special and is raised to praise Him, 1 Pet 2:9.
We will cease to become a peculiar people when we cease to praise Him.
He honors those who honor Him.
You are raised to praise!
