*WHAT ROOT IS SPRINGING OUT FROM YOU? (2)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Matthew 15:13.

*But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

When Christ is rooted in you, there will be no place for Satan!

*Scripture Commentaries.*

The statement of Jesus emphasizes that only the root established by God (the "heavenly Father") stands for ever. It finds root, gains root and can not be uprooted

Psalm 119:18 says *For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.*

If the root planted by God is ever uprooted, there are no hopes of eternal life in Heaven.

David said a prayer in Psalm 51:11-12 because he knew that if God took away His Spirit from him there would be no hope of eternal salvation and redemption.

*Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.*

*Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.*

People 'uproot' God from their lives (that is, people turn away from Jesus) to plant Satan inside themselves instead.

Jude refers to them as *".......ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners......"*

*".....walking after their own lusts;......"*, Jude 1:15-16.

Jude further says *".....These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit."*, Jude 1:19.

Matt 12: 43-45tells us that there are people who once were possessed of Satan, were delivered but were back to a state of emptiness that brought Satan back to their lives.

Matthew records that when Satan finds the place (that was once occupied by the Spirit *"......empty, swept, and garnished."*

(because of turning away from Christ)

*Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there:....."*

Jesus says in John 7:38 *He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.*

Jesus, among many other things, is teaching us here that as roots bring life and abundance to the plant so also those who believe in Jesus, will have the Holy Spirit dwell within them, flowing out to bring life and spiritual abundance to them.

If the word of God is rooted in your heart, you will both be physically and spiritually alive.

People who do not have Him as the root in their hearts are only physically alive but spiritually dead.

What and who are rooted in your heart?

Let it be Jesus!

*Remorse corner.*

What comes out of you will depend on what is rooted in you.

*Call to Word action.*

Life, its abundance and other essentials for sustenance comes from the root. How you sustain your life and others will depend on the root that is in you.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

A person is spiritually dead when the wrong thing grows in him. He can not have spiritual life neither can he give it to anyone.

*Prayer.*

Lord let me not be spiritually dead. Let godly things take root in me, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and be blessed as you go today.

God bless you.

Shalom.
