*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*WALKING FREE. (3)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Ephesians 5:16 *Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Though God has forgiven us, we often do not forgive ourselves.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Yesterday, we looked at the two sides of Paul in his narration of his past.

First was his ability to let go his past, his esteemed accomplishments and leaving them behind to move forward.

Let us look further at what helped him.

Paul knew God had forgiven him and needed to accept to forgive himself and let go the past.

You can not move forward if you allow your past to hold you down.

The major problem we often have is not forgiving ourselves when God has forgiven us.

Today, some people may still find themselves fighting and asking God for deliverance from harmful consequences from past sins they had committed before they became born-again.

Lingering consequences, personal memories, and the devil's accusations over the mistakes of these past are interwoven.

As our flesh is not instantly eliminated so is our past's influence is not instantly eliminated and left to contend with most especially when their memory refuse to leave us. Though our pasts are forgiven, but they are not forgotten by us. We may constantly be hunted but do not forgive ourselves.

Past memories can really be hunting and daunting.

If only we can remember that God no longer remembers our sins, meaning He does not hold them against us to condemn us [Isaiah 43:25].

This is not so with us, unfortunately.

Not that God forgets them (because He remembers everything) but because He would not allow those past sins to negatively influence Him. All He sees now is the blood of Jesus that has atoned for those past sins.

We must live to remember that though forgiveness may not include forgetting, we must constantly live a new life.and grace filled to help us to understand that true forgiveness is forgiving and not allowing remembering past offenses or mistakes to negatively impact our future.

If you are going to walk free wth Christ you must walk away from your past.

*Remorse corner.*

God's grace on us in our salvation can also help us to reshape the memories of our past mistakes and understand that they are past and have been redeemed!

*Call to Word action.*

If you are not grace-filled you will not be free from your past.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

We can redeem the time lost by allowing our determination to move forward to be more than allowing the past to set us back.

*Prayer.*

Lord l refuse to be setback by my past but to press for a comeback for a better future, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

Shalom.
